What would you do if your business had a large roof space that was being under-utilised?
The money-savvy owners of Hull’s JD Fire Alarm Services decided they would put it to good use by installing an 11kW solar panel system to help reduce their energy bills.
After opting for 30 solar PV panels, which feature on both sides of their pitched metal roof, the business can now enjoy 9425kwh of free electricity every year.
Having erected all the scaffolding needed to complete the project, it took three of our engineers just eight days to get the energy-saving system up and running.
The business is already using its self-generated electricity to meet their daily demands for power, which will last for at least another 20 years without the need to do anything other than an annual maintenance check.
And with their return on investment estimated to take just 3 years and 4 months, it looks like this project could prove to be a very profitable acquisition.
